Reaching the big 100

This week, the Adventure Bent blog reached a major milestone. It climbed to its first 100 likes and follows on Facebook and Twitter.

This might not sound like a lot, but our reader base has been slowly growing ever since we launched the site earlier this summer. Growing our social media following is essential to reaching new people with stories of our adventures.

The blog’s Instagram page is currently trailing behind with just under 50 followers and is slowly catching up.

To celebrate this accomplishment, we want to thank everyone who has supported the Adventure Bent blog this far. Without the help and support of our readers, we would have given up on this project a long time ago.

The blog’s social media outlets have a lot to offer. Not everything we post shows up on the blog. Many photos and videos are exclusively found on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.

So, don’t miss out on behind the scenes photos and videos shared every week. These often show up week’s before the blog post.

As we work to evolve the blog, we are looking to you guys, our readers, for feedback and advice. Let us know what you like, what you’d like to see more of, and, of course, what you’d like to see less of.

The Adventure Bent blog’s many social media outlets are great a great way to reach out to us.

Follow us – help us go from 100 to 1000

If you haven’t already, like, follow, subscribe or plus-1 us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Google+. For more information on how to support the Adventure Bent blog, visit our support page here.

If you’re not a social media kind of person, or you prefer email over news feeds, you can sign up for our free weekly email newsletter at the bottom of the page.

I do a lot of work with social media in the real world away from my private blog, and I find instagram is best for breaking into the Jeep crowd if you are not selling things or using ads.

I got a friends account up to 6k in just a few months (another one I gave tips to for an Ohio club never got past 500 though), so from doing a few I can say it depends on the shots:

Rocks do better than mud, people sniff out stock differentials, and I swear Maxis tires not only just look awesome, they trend especially well (good social traction? lol).

I can also offer you some more in depth tips in an email if you like.

Social media tips on 4x4s and Jeeps from an actual person not trying to sell me on some scam…. Sign me up. My contact for is under my about page if you don’t mind sparing a few minutes to share your tips. As a thank you, I will share posts from your blog that I think would be pertinent to my readers. I always find that only promoting yourself doesn’t get you very far on Twitter and Facebook. Thanks for taking the time to reply.
